Brief Introduction of XIACT

As the first joint venture company of the civil aviation industry across the Strait, XIACT possesses the advantage of ample resource contributing from airport authority, airlines and airport ground services parties among the shareholders. It aims to optimize air cargo service, and take the pioneer role ahead of the direct traffic between the two regions across the strait. The total investment of XIACT sums up to RMB225 millions Yuan. Xiamen Airport Development Co., Ltd (600897 SH) holds 51% of the shares and Taiwan Airport Service (Macau) Co., Ltd Holds 49%. Our business scope covers warehousing services for International and Domestic cargo, including import/export/transfer shipments, flight documentation handling, construction/ operation/ management of warehousing facilities, office rental and operation management of customs custody warehouse.
XIACT has the geographical location advantage because of its convenient and comprehensive traffic service network, it situated at the core part of Xiamen-Zhangzhou-Quanzhou Economy Zone, abutting against Fouzhou-Xiamen Highway, 319 National Highway, Yingtan-Xiamen Railway and the seaport. It is a very important airfreight transportation hub that covers the whole area of Fujian Province, northern Guangdong Province, southern Zhejiang Province and Jiangxi Province. XIACT occupies a ground area about 41,000M2; it is designed to handle a regular tonnage size of 150,000 tons annually but may reach to 200,000 tons maximum limits. XIACT is divided into several parts according to different functions: warehousing area、forwarder palletizing area、Customs and Inspection Center、offices etc. Some advanced facilities such as ETV 、ULD storage system, Special Handling Cargo rooms (cooler/freezer/AVI/DGR) are equipped so as to provide superior and efficient service. All of the documentation work is handled by computer system and interchanged with SITA/EDI/INTERNET. 24-hours running Close-circuit Monitoring System, Fire Protection System and Central Air Conditioning System are equipped to form a safe, comfortable working environment. In March 2005, a customs custody warehouse with a 10,000M2 ground area was founded and licensed by the local government. As the indispensable supplement to the main warehouse, it creates a quick, convenient circumstance for the airfreight deconsolidation and customs supervision.
At the same time, XICAT has already set up an effectual communication channel with CIQ, ramp Service Company, airlines, forwarders and customs brokers, also, to better the cooperation relationship. In 2004, XIACT was certified by ISO9001-2000 and settled a systematic set of standard operation procedures. We deeply believe that XIACT will definitely provide first-class service with leading software as well as advance hardware, and drive the development of local airfreight market with average increase rate of 15% yearly.
